Red Cross in Coastal Bend welcomes Cisneros III to Board of Directors

CORPUS CHRISTI - The American Red Cross Coastal Bend chapter in the Texas Gulf Coast region is proud to welcome Joe Cisneros III, former Economic Development and Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive Officer, as the newest member of its Board of Directors.

“Joe brings a wealth of experience to the Coastal Bend Chapter Board, and an infectious enthusiasm for the Red Cross mission,” said Angie Garcia, Executive Director for the Coastal Bend chapter. “Together we are building new partnerships and strengthening our volunteer engagement.”

Cisneros will serve as the Board Chair for the Coastal Bend Chapter.

Cisneros III is a former Economic Development and Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive Officer, a position he has served in since 1995. Primarily responsible for working with the region’s existing businesses and community leaders to identify opportunities for future job growth and corporate capital investment. Joe is recognized for his dedication of over 35 years. The role of the Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development organizations is that of business advocacy, community leadership, and job creation, all issues that Cisneros is highly passionate about.

Under Joe’s visionary leadership, the organizations he helmed experienced exponential growth. They launched a series of highly innovative and successful programs, earning local, state, and national recognition. His strategic prowess attracted substantial new funding from government agencies, private foundations, and corporations, fueling the region’s growth.

Joe is a lifelong resident of South Texas and a former broadcaster and radio personality. _Born and raised in Kingsville, Texas, he has advocated for the Coastal Bend his entire career.

In addition to his professional work, Joe’s deep roots in community service reflect his unwavering dedication. Joe’s service has extended to numerous boards and commissions, advocating for community, health, human services, education, children, and now the American Red Cross.

Today, Joe resides with his wife of 39 years, Sally, in Corpus Christi, TX. Joe is retired and enjoys life, occasionally assisting or consulting small businesses and volunteering with organizations helping others.
