SAS appreciates everyone that purchased meals from the KC drive thru last Sunday. We are especially grateful to the Columbus KC council #2971 for donating proceeds from the tasty meal to SAS for special projects. The Catholic Daughters Court #1588 generously gifted their profits from their dessert sale at the drive thru as well.
Last Friday, SAS welcomed Jay Glueck to campus as another Watch D.O.G.S. volunteer. Mr. Glueck attended Mass with Kindergarten, joined PE and other classes, and was helpful during student dropoff, pickup and during lunch.
Congratulations to SAS 2nd grader Lawson Werland for winning Grand Champion for his Colorado County Fair Art entry. And kudos to this large group of Angel Card recipients for doing good deeds for others this past week: Pepper Davis, Brynlynn Shifflett, Marley Landry, Haidyn Bussellman, Jane K., Calvin Hoelscher, John Fitzgerald, Greyson Glueck, Jase Foster, Beau Neal, Landry Venghaus, Brady Venghaus, Keaton Watkins, Jace Tribe, Cormac Barten, Matthias Walla and Mitchell Smith.
On Tuesday, 9/23, SAS 7th graders held a Living Rosary for their parents and grandparents. Students shared personal intentions, showed still scenes of each mystery and lead the rosary. A short reception with donuts, juice and fellowship followed.
Lady Saints Volleyball teams take on Fayetteville at home tomorrow, Sept. 25 starting at 5 p.m. and then travel to Shiner on Monday, Sept. 29 for matches against St. Ludmila. The SAS Cross Country team will run in the Halletsville Kolache Fest 5K on Saturday, Sept. 27.
Upcoming events: 8th grade will attend CHS college fair on Sept. 25. 5th grade field trip to the Czech Heritage Center in LaGrange on 9/30. SAS welcomes all to attend Children’s Mass each Friday at 8:15.
