In a show of community spirit and appreciation, the inaugural “Together for Teachers” campaign, sponsored by Columbus State Bank and Hill Bank & Trust, honored educators who have gone above and beyond in the hearts of their students, families, and communities.

Pictured are the winners from Columbus schools The voting, organized by the banks and carried out by students, parents, and neighbors, gave the community a chance to celebrate teachers in their school districts who have made a lasting impact. Nominations poured in, showcasing the dedication and passion of local educators.

Each teacher receiving the most votes at their school was awarded a $250 check to support classroom resources and enrich student learning. These awards serve as a reminder of the powerful role teachers play in shaping the future and how their passion extends far beyond the classroom.

Honorees from Columbus included Sharon Hajovsky, St. Anthony’s; Nina Pavlicek, Columbus Elementary; Audrey Dyer, Columbus Junior High; and Lyndsay Schobel, Columbus High School. From Weimar, honorees were Sherry Pietsch, St. Michael’s; Kacie Krischke, Weimar Elementary; Summer Almeida, Weimar Junior High; and Megan Dornak, Weimar High School.

As part of the “Together for Teachers” initiative, schools receiving the largest number of nominations in each town were also recognized. Columbus Elementary and St. Michael Catholic School each received $500 to enhance educational opportunities and resources for their students.

The banks are proud to highlight the importance of recognizing educators for their dedication.
