SAS SAINTLY NEWS

SAS SAINTLY NEWS

October is here, and that means SAS is prepping for its annual Halloween Carnival! Make plans to attend this extravaganza on 10/25 on the school grounds. A lot of work goes into SAS PTC’s largest fundraiser of the year. The Junior High Students are working on their famous Punk-N-Rock show, raffle tickets will soon be for sale, and event organizers are diligently planning all the evening’s fun activities.

Since last week, Saints Mini Cheerleaders have been practicing hard and they are all very excited for their upcoming performances. They will show their spirit at today’s Pep Rally (2:45pm) and this evening’s home football game vs. St. Michael (7pm).

With today being the beginning of October/Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Saints are having a PINK OUT day by wearing pink in support of all those that battle breast cancer.

This morning, Saints will get together with their Catholic School Week teams to discuss this month’s character trait, “Patience”. Teams consist of students from each grade level. They will answer questions about times when their own patience was tested, and they will be reminded that God’s timing is always worth the wait!

Congrats to the Lady Saints volleyball team for winning 1st place at the Faith Academy tournament on 9/20 as well as beating St. Rose last Monday, 9/22 and topping Fayetteville on 9/25. This Saturday, 10/4, the Cross-Country team will participate in a meet at the Halletsville golf course.

Upcoming events: Blessing of the Pets on 10/3 at 3pm. St. Roch Church Picnic on 10/5. Fire Station Visits for 4K/5K/1st on 10/7. PTC Meeting on 10/7 at 4:15pm. Jr. High Homecoming Dance on 10/7 at 7pm. SAS welcomes all to attend Children’s Mass each Friday at 8:15.

We urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, cheer the fainthearted, support the weak, be patient with all. [Taken from 1THES 5:14]

The Lady Saints A volleyball team took first place in Faith Academy’s tournament held on 9/20. Front row, L to R: Natalie Glueck, Raelynn Schulte, Emma Fitzgerald, and Mia Brown. Back row, L to R: Amelia Frnka, Abigail Wolters, Olivia Lowe, Keaton Watkins, and Charley McBride.
