“Pathway to Possibilities” campaign will support scholarships awarded to graduates pursuing degrees in healthcare, mental health, and skilled trades
The Columbus Education Foundation (CEF) is inviting the community to change lives for the better through its Pathway to Possibilities matching gift campaign. Beginning in October, all donations made to CEF through Dec. 31, up to $50,000, will be matched by a generous donor, doubling the impact and opening doors for Columbus ISD seniors pursuing careers in healthcare, mental health, and skilled trades.
The Pathway to Possibilities campaign aims to remove financial barriers for hardworking seniors, enabling them to continue their education and enter critical fields that strengthen the community. Scholarships will support students pursuing degrees in healthcare and mental health, as well as those enrolling in trade school. “These scholarships are an investment in the future of Columbus,” said Phillip Garcia, CEF president. “They ensure more students can pursue careers in healthcare, mental health, and skilled trades without the weight of tuition costs holding them back.”
CEF has an impressive track record of supporting student success through scholarships and teacher grants. The Pathway to Possibilities campaign builds on that momentum by doubling individual gifts to create more scholarships for the Class of 2026. “We are truly grateful for the generosity of the donor who stepped up to match the funds raised through this important campaign,” said CEF board member Heather Thomas. “The impact this will have on the number of scholarships we award to deserving students is incredible. We are excited for the potential this will bring to students pursuing degrees and certifications that will ultimately better their community.”
Community members are encouraged to donate at www.columbuseducationfoundation. org. Every gift made by December 31 will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $50,000.
