Friends of the Weimar Public Library will host Master Certified Naturalist, Marvelyn Granger on Friday, Oct. 24 at 10 a.m. at the Weimar Public Library.
“Foraging Native Plants: The Flavors of Texas” promises to be a fascinating and rewarding topic for those of us who had not realized how many edible plants are growing around us in the wild.
This presentation will introduce plants with which we may not be familiar, as well as some we might have encountered but didn’t realize had edible or medicinal benefits.
The program should open our eyes to the many beneficial plants in our own environment and spark our interest in foraging while fostering a deeper curiosity about native plants.
