The Columbus Cross Country team traveled to Yoakum to compete in the District Meet. While there were several strong performances from Columbus at the District Meet, only two of their runners qualified for the Regional Meet. The two runners were, Kaylea Foster and Christian Matinez so both the Lady Cardinals and the Cardinals cross country team earning a spot at the Regional Meet. Foster came in 4th place while Martinez came in 6th place to earn his spot at the Regional Meet. These runners will have a tough task of earning a spot at the State Meet, but if there is one thing Columbus athletes love, it’s a little bit of adversity to challenge them. Courtesy photo
