Columbus Restaurant Week

Get ready to celebrate the first-ever Columbus Restaurant Week! For one whole week, local restaurants will pull out all the stops with delicious discounts, exciting deals, and specialty menus made just for this event. Participating restaurants will be announced soon. Hosted by the Columbus Chamber of Commerce.

CVFD Community Awareness Event

Wednesday, Oct. 15 | 6 p.m. | Columbus Fire Station, 602 Spring St. | Columbus

Join the Columbus Fire Department for an evening of fun, learning, and community! Event highlights include a fire safety and prevention presentation, fire prevention poster awards, door prizes, a bounce house, hot dogs, popcorn, and snowcones. This family- friendly event is free and open to everyone.

Brunson Night: Day of the Dead

Honor the history of the Live Oak Art Center and the Brunson Building at the Live Oak Art Center’s Annual Brunson Night Fundraiser! This year, the theme is the Day of the Dead. Enjoy live music by The Emotions, catering by Calle 7 Tacos, a beer and wine bar, bucket raffle items and more. Tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased at www.liveoakartcenter.org.

Halloween Dinner and Costume Contest

Stop Bullying Art Contest Awards and Reception

Halloween Carnival 2025

Come join us for a SPOOKTACULAR time at the annual St. Anthony Catholic School Halloween Carnival! Eagle Lake Downtown Trick or Treat

The City of Eagle Lake and the Eagle Lake Parks & Recreation Department invite you to an Eagle Lake Downtown Halloween Trick or Treat! There will be trick-or-treating on the Square. Individuals, businesses and organizations interested in participating and distributing candy may call 979-234-2640.

“Through the Artist’s Eyes” by Diane Mueller Exhibit Reception 

Thursday, Oct. 30| 6-8 p.m. | Live Oak Art Center, 1014 Milam St. | Columbus

Diane Mueller’s latest collection of photo-art will delight anyone who enjoys artful creations and dreams of producing better photographs. The exhibit continues through Nov. 29 and features a wide array of images including landscapes, nature, wildlife and portraits of people.

Live Oaks and Dead Folks Cemetery Tour 

Saturday, Nov. 1 | 6:15 p.m. | Old City Cemetery, intersection of Walnut Street (U.S. 90) and Veterans Drive | Columbus

Participants will follow a costumed guide by lantern light through the cemetery, stopping at select gravesites to hear the true stories of local figures who shaped the community as well as the state. Each year’s tour features newly researched stories and characters. Hosted by the Nesbitt Memorial Library Foundation.
