Colorado County Appraisal District board member James Prichard was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated with alcohol, Wednesday night, Oct. 8.
According to Columbus Police Lieutenant Christopher Mayfield, CPD Officer Sam Postisil conducted a traffic stop on Prichard at around 10:36 p.m. near the 600 block of Fannin Street. Prichard was arrested and transported to Colorado County Jail.
Prichard currently serves as the secretary for the CCAD board. His jurisdictional representation presides over the city of Columbus and Columbus ISD.
The case is still under active investigation and is pending review from County Attorney Jay Johannes.
