TUESDAY, JULY 8
At approximately 4:13 p.m. deputy Blaha was dispatched to the 5300 block of East 2nd Street in Sheridan Texas in reference to indecency with a child. After further investigation Jesus Torres Guadalupe, age 35, of Sheridan, Texas, was arrested for aggravated sexual assault of a child.
At approximately 2:33 p.m. deputy Leihardt was dispatched to the Weber construction office at 5249 Interstate 10 in Alleyton Texas in reference to a theft of rebar from a construction yard on Interstate 10 near the 709 mile marker. Information was gathered and a report generated with no suspects at this time.
At approximately 6:00 p.m. deputy Smith was dispatched to the Colorado County Sheriff’s Office located at 2215 Walnut Street in Colorado County in reference to an assault. Upon further investigation, a correctional officer was assaulted in the process of escorting an inmate to his cell.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 9
At approximately 2:52 p.m. deputy Lopez was dispatched to old Alleyton Road in Alleyton in reference to a motor vehicle accident.
THURSDAY, JULY 10
At approximately 1:00 p.m. Captain Alley met with a victim in the sheriff’s office lobby in regards to her wanting to report that she was assaulted at Pivo’s and wanted to report the crime but was unsure if she wanted to press charges at this time. A report was generated to document until she decides if she wants prosecution or just documentation. Case pending.
At approximately 8:34 p.m. deputy Byars was dispatched to the 2000 block of Alleyton Road and Alleyton in reference to a stolen license plate. Upon arrival, he spoke with the complainant and obtained enough information to generate a case report. Case active.
At approximately 9:15 p.m. deputy Chapa was dispatched to the 6500 block of Highway 71 South in reference to a loose livestock that then became a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, enough information was gathered to generate a report. Case active.
FRIDAY, JULY 11
At approximately 11:58 p.m. deputy Blaha conducted a traffic stop at 693 westbound Interstate 10. After further investigation, Lucio Herrera Rogelio, 24, of Weimar, was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
At approximately 11:52 p.m. deputy Johnson was dispatched to the Colorado County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a mental subject. After an investigation a report was taken. The subject was taken to the hospital to be further evaluated.
SUNDAY, JULY 13
At approximately 12:43 a.m. deputy Blaha tried conducting a traffic stop on Fannin at Wallace due to speeds of a white Corvette. Due to speeds of the Corvette the vehicle was never stopped.
At approximately 3:09 a.m., deputy Frey was dispatched to the are of IH-10 WB and Double Creek RD, Bernardo, in reference to a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival the driver of the vehicle had fled the scene and was unable to be located. The vehicle was towed by Fernandez and Sons Wrecker Service. Case closed by report.
At approximately 4:25 p.m. deputy Argo while working police security at Splashway Water Park in Sheridan, TX and received a report from a guest of an assault that had occurred. An investigation was conducted and a report was taken. Case active.
MONDAY, JULY 14
At approximately 3:56 a.m. deputy Frey was dispatched to the area of FM 3013 near Little Public Road in Eagle Lake in reference to a dead cow in the roadway. Upon further investigation he located a horse that had been struck by an unknown motor vehicle. A follow-up investigation will be done to attempt to locate the owner of the horse. Case closed by report pending location of the owner of the horse.
At approximately 6:41 a.m. deputy Blair was dispatched to 6747 Highway 71 in reference to property damage. Case cleared, information only.
At approximately 10:00 a.m. deputy Mican was dispatched to the Colorado County Jail in reference to an assault. An inmate stated that he was assaulted by another inmate. Case pending.
At approximately 2:30 p.m. deputy Lopez was dispatched to the Texnna clinic in reference to a mental health transport. The patient was then transported to a psychiatric facility for treatment. MONDAY, JULY 15
At approximately 11:53 p.m. deputy Chapa was dispatched to the 1000 block of Edgewood Lane in Columbus in reference to a terroristic threat. Upon arrival, enough information was gathered. Case information only.
At approximately 3:49 p.m. deputy Lopez was dispatched to 1454 US 90A and reference to property damage.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 16
At approximately 1:19 p.m. deputy Leihardt was dispatched to 11:41 Lakewood Lane in Sheridan in reference to a stolen vehicle. A report was generated and the truck will be entered into NCIC / TCIC. Case active.
At approximately 119 p.m. deputy Leihardt was dispatched to 11:41 Lola Oak Lane in Sheridan Texas in reference to a stolen vehicle. He made contact with John Charles Bittinger, gathered enough information about the stolen vehicle and had case number 20250578 issued for the stolen vehicle. John was found to have a warrant out of Kay County Sheriff’s Office in Oklahoma for failure to appear on a possession of meth charge. John was placed into custody and transported to the Colorado County Jail without incident.
At approximately 8:33 p.m. deputy Blaha conducted a traffic stop on a gold in color F-250 on Highway 90 near County Road 218. After further investigation, Alan Stafford Johnson, was arrested on a Colorado County warrant.
At approximately 10:53 p.m. deputy Johnson was dispatched to the 1000 block of Old MacDonald Lane in Columbus in reference to an animal call. After an investigation a report was taken. The dog was not located at or around the scene.
THURSDAY, JULY 17
At approximately 8:24 a.m. deputy Schoppe was dispatched to 402 Taylor Avenue in Alleyton in reference to a fraud. A report was completed for debit card abuse.
At approximately 8:34 a.m. deputy Villarreal was dispatched to the 3600 block of County Road 106 in Rock Island in reference to a stray animals. Estray paperwork was generated for three horses.
At approximately 9:24 a.m. deputy Moulder was dispatched to the Colorado County Sheriff’s Office in reference to an assault that occurred at 1400 Stokes Road Fayetteville, Texas. A report was taken. Becky Barnett, 40, of Hoerne, Texas, was charged and detained for aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Case cleared.
At approximately 11:14 p.m. deputy Blaha was dispatched to the 300 block of Canal Street and Garwood in reference to a disturbance. After further investigation, Keyjuan Hicks, 20, of Garwood, was arrested for assault causing bodily injury family member.
At approximately 9:06 p.m. deputy Johnson was dispatched to 4600 block US Highway 98 in Altair in reference to a welfare concern. After an investigation it was found that Hitesh Agrawal, 35, of Houston, had a felony warrant out of Harris County for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1/1 - b >=4G<200G. Harris County confirmed the warrant. Hitesh was taken into custody. Case cleared.
At approximately 12:30 a.m. deputy Johnson was dispatched to the 2100 block of Triple S in Weimar in reference to an animal call. After an investigation a report was taken. Subject received medical treatment. Case for information.
At approximately 3:59 p.m. deputy Blair was dispatched to 5211 Main Street in Sheridan in reference to an assault. After investigation, Zanylah Hall, 19, of Smithville, Texas, was arrested for assault causing bodily injury family member. Case cleared by adult arrest.
SATURDAY, JULY 19
At approximately 7:15 a.m. while deputies were patrolling US Highway 90 near County Road 210 near Weimar they observed a green in color Toyota Highlander traveling west on US Highway 90 going over the posted speed limit. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle, and the driver of the vehicle was taken into custody for driving while license invalid with previous convictions. This case was closed by arrest.
SUNDAY, JULY 20
At approximately 9:19 a.m. deputy Blair was patrolling the South feeder Road near mile marker post 703 eastbound when he observed an abandoned camper trailer on the shoulder off of the roadway. Case pending impound.
At approximately 11:22 p.m. deputy Blair was dispatched to the 1700 block of Calhoun Road near Eagle Lake in reference to property damage. Case pending further information.
At approximately 12:52 p.m. deputies located a missing person who was traveling on SH-71 West near Pine Cove summer camp, Columbus, Texas.
At approximately 1:58 p.m. deputy Blair was dispatched to 1095 raider drive in Altair in reference to a civil complaint. Case cleared information only.
MONDAY, JULY 21
At approximately 10:14 a.m. deputy Villarreal was dispatched to Columbus Community Hospital, 110 Schultz Drive, to meet with a complainant in reference to an animal bite that occurred at the Colorado Valley Veterinarian clinic. On arrival, he met with a complaint and obtained information to generate a report.
At approximately 8:41 p.m. deputy Smith was dispatched to the 2100 block of Elsie Street in reference to a disturbance. After further investigation, parties desired not to pursue charges. Information only.
At approximately 9:00 p.m. deputy Johnson was traveling west on US 90 near FM 2434 when he initiated a traffic stop. After an investigation a report was taken. A complete record check was completed. It was found that LaShawn Renee Fennell, 30, out of Austin, Texas, had active warrants for aggravated assault with deadly weapon and driving while intoxicated. LaShawn was taken into custody and released to an on-duty staff member at the Colorado County Jail. Case cleared.
At approximately 11:38 p.m. deputy Blaha conducted a traffic stop in the 3900 block of S Interstate 10 Frontage Road on a black Honda Accord. After further investigation, Lazaro Miguel Enchemendia Miranda, age 34, of Houston, Texas, was arrested for an out-of-country warrant and theft of a firearm.
TUESDAY, JULY 22
At approximately 8:14 a.m. deputy Lopez was dispatched to the Columbus Oaks nursing home in reference to a mental patient needing psychiatric care. Arrangements were made and the patient was transported by EMS to the designated psychiatric facility.
