Rice Cross Country results from Regional Meet

The Rice Raiders cross country team traveled to Corpus Christi for the Regional Meet looking to earn a spot at the State Meet.

The Raiders had already picked up the District Championship this season and were looking to win the Regional Championship as well.

The Raiders put together a very strong outing as they had three runners finish the race within the top 50 runners. It was a heavily contested meet with plenty of talented runners to challenge the Raiders.

The Raiders were up to the challenge though and came in 8th place as a team out of the 34 teams that were at the Regional Meet.

The Raiders unfortunately did not qualify for the State Meet but now set their sights on coming back stronger next season to defend their district title.
