The Weimar Ladycats traveled to Corpus Christi to participate in the Regional Cross Country meet.
Unfortunately for the Ladycats they fell just short of qualifying for the State Meet but delivered a valiant effort, nonetheless.
The Ladycats did finish in 9th place as a team out of the 22 teams that were at the Regional Meet. Alazay Moreno led the Ladycats with a 23rd place finish with a time of 13 minutes and 56 seconds, while Aubrey Breska was close behind in 33rd place with a time of 14 minutes and 16 seconds.
It may not have been the end result the girls wanted but they continued to grow this season from last season’s success and will look to do the same when they hit the ground running next season.
Since none of the Ladycats qualified for the State Meet, they will now hang up their running shoes and look forward to the next chapter of Weimar cross country in 2026.
