The Rotary Club of Columbus held its annual Hunter’s Stew and Raffle on Sept. 30, at The Columbus Hall. The proceeds from the event go to the Rotary Club’s annual scholarship fund and various other community projects. Although this has been a gun raffle in the past, additional items were added and raffled along with the guns. Congratulations to all of the winners.
We want to thank our many sponsors for their very generous support of this event, which made it one of the most successful fundraisers in the Club’s history.
We also want to thank the many volunteers who set up, cut vegetables and served but most importantly for the 2 chefs who cooked the wonderful stew.
To quote our current president, Jay Altiera, at the wrap up meeting, “It was the most successful event he can remember in his 25 years of Rotary membership.”
The Rotary Club of Columbus is chartered by Rotary International, a worldwide service organization with several local and international service areas.
