Sheriff’s Report
FRIDAY, AUG. 1
At approximately 8:12 a.m. deputy Lopez was dispatched to 8515 State Highway 71, Nada, in reference to a medical emergency.
SATURDAY, AUG. 2
At approximately 2:02 p.m. deputy Lopez was dispatched to the Colorado County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a fraud/forgery. The victim reported that she was scammed out of $3,100 when she received a phone call stating that she had a warrant for her arrest, and she needed to pay money to have the warrant removed. It was determined through the investigation that the victim was contacted by someone using a “spoof” phone number.
At approximately 3:16 p.m. deputy Melendez was dispatched to the 5200 block of Main Street in Sheridan in reference to an assault in progress. After investigating the incident, Rubi Revuelta, 20, of Houston, Texas, was taken into custody for assault causing bodily injury to a family member. She was transported to the Colorado County Jail for booking without incident.
At approximately 3:31 p.m. deputy Blaha was dispatched to Highway 98 near County Road 103 in reference to a single motor vehicle accident involving a Colorado County unit. After further investigation the unit hydroplaned. Report information only.
At approximately 7:57 p.m. deputy Johnson was at the Colorado County fairgrounds in Columbus Texas in reference to an unwanted subject. After an investigation a report was completed. Quincy Nickerson, 19, of Brenham, Texas, was arrested for unlawful carrying of a weapon.
SUNDAY, AUG. 3
At approximately 1:41 a.m. deputy Smith was dispatched to the Colorado County fairgrounds in reference to an assault. Upon further investigation, it was determined that a robbery had occurred. Information was gathered, and a report was taken.
At approximately 4:26 p.m. deputy Melendez was dispatched to the 1800s block of FM 532 in Oakland Texas in reference to property damage. The reporting party advised a vehicle left the roadway and struck his property fence causing damage. The operator of the vehicle has yet to be identified. The fence was later repaired and the property owner did not want any further investigation into the incident.
MONDAY, AUG. 4
At approximately 8:08 a.m. deputy Byars was dispatched to the area of Interstate Highway 10 and State Highway 71 in reference to a theft. Upon speaking with a complaint, enough information was obtained on scene to generate a report.
TUESDAY, AUG. 5
At approximately 3:00 p.m. deputy Mican met with a complainant at the sheriff’s office in regard to fraud. An unknown person sent the victim an email requesting her to send money. The unknown suspect hacked into the victim’s friends email account and use her email to send the request. Case pending.
At approximately 8:50 a.m. deputy Cantu was dispatched to the 1000 block of Old MacDonald Lane, Columbus, in regards to a person and a mental health crisis. The patient was transported to the Texana crisis center in Rosenberg for treatment.
At approximately 8:35 p.m. deputy Johnson was dispatched to the 100 block of Schult Drive, Columbus, in reference to an animal call. After investigation, a report was taken. The victim received medical care.
WEDNESDAY, AUG. 6
At approximately 8:59 a.m. deputy Lopez was dispatched to a mental subject at Columbus Oaks nursing home. The patient was in crisis and was then transported to a psychiatric hospital.
At approximately 10:00 a.m. deputy Gorman arrives at the 3800 block of FM 949 and Cat Spring in reference to a civil standby. Standby was completed without incident. Information only.
At approximately 2:00 p.m. deputy Weido received information from the jail staff of a male inmate of the Colorado County detention center exposing himself to a female correction officer. Information was taken to conduct an investigation. On August 14th 2025 the deputy obtained warrants for the arrest of Jajuan Brian Schreck, age 19, of Garwood, Texas, who is in custody at the Colorado County Jail for two offenses of indecent exposure. The case is cleared by arrest.
At approximately 10:20 p.m. deputy Chapa was dispatched to the 1000 block of Elm Crest Drive, New Ulm, in reference to a fight in progress. Upon further investigation Trent Anthony Gose, age 28, of Columbus, Texas, was arrested for assault causing bodily injury to family members, class b misdemeanor. Case cleared by adult arrest.
At approximately 8:00 p.m. deputy Villarreal was dispatched to a mental subject in the 1100 block of County Road 150. The patient was in crisis and was then transported to a psychiatric hospital.
THURSDAY, AUG. 7
At approximately 2:35 a.m. deputy Navarro was dispatched to the 4800 block of South Interstate 10, Alleyton, on Old Alleyton Road in reference to a motor vehicle accident. After further investigation, Juan Day Leon, age 24, of Columbus, Texas, was arrested for failure to stop and give information, class b misdemeanor. Case cleared by adult arrest.
FRIDAY, AUG. 8
At approximately 12:14 p.m. deputy Lopez was dispatched to the texanna clinic in reference to a mental health crisis the patient was then transported to a psychiatric facility for treatment.
At approximately 11:22 p.m. deputy Smith initiated a traffic stop at Highway 71 in County Road 101 in Altair. Upon further investigation, the driver came back to having a warrant out of Colorado County. The driver was then transported to the Colorado County Jail and released to jail staff without incident.
SATURDAY, AUG. 9
At approximately 8:09 a.m. deputy Cantu was dispatched to the 3200 block of US Highway 98, Rock Island, regarding a found wallet. The owner of the wallet was identified and case pending the retrieval of the wallet.
At approximately 6:05 a.m. deputy Pavlicek was dispatched to the Texas Challenge Academy. A report was taken and is currently being investigated.
At approximately 11:06 p.m. deputy Blaha was dispatched to the 4600 block of the North feeder in reference to a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian. After further investigation, a report was taken, and trooper Taylor investigated the crash scene. Case is cleared.
MONDAY, AUG. 11
At approximately 8:31 a.m. deputy Lopez was dispatched to the TA truck stop, Sealy, in reference to a fraud/forgery. After reviewing the video found on the SD card, I found no evidence to identify a suspect in this case. Case is inactive.
At approximately 103 p.m. deputy Blair was dispatched to 208 W Center Street, Eagle Lake, in reference to property damage. Case clear due to lack of evidence.
At approximately 5:30 p.m. the deputy spoke with a complainant in reference to a theft that occurred on JT Powell Road in Sheridan, Texas. The victim provided detailed information for the report. The case is active.
At approximately 7:11 p.m. deputy Villarreal conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of 9th Street in Glidden, Texas. After a further investigation, the driver Pedro, age 30, of Austin, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. The case was cleared by arrest.
At approximately 8:15 p.m. deputy Navarro was dispatched to 1003 Oak Street, Columbus, Texas, in reference to an assault. After further investigation, a warrant was issued and a report was taken for assault. Case is active pending further investigation.
At approximately 8:47 p.m. deputy Navarro was dispatched to the Colorado County Sheriff’s Office in reference to an animal call. After further investigation, information was received. Case closed, information only.
TUESDAY, AUG. 12
At approximately 9:32 a.m. deputy Lopez arrived at a residence in Rock Island, Texas, in reference to an unwanted subject. Megan Mcinnis was taken into custody for a warrant for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
At approximately 10:41 a.m. deputy Blair was dispatched to the 1000 block of old Altair Road, Eagle Lake, in reference to an abandoned all-terrain vehicle. Case pending further investigation.
At approximately 8:16 p.m. deputy Chapa met with a complainant and the sheriff’s office lobby in reference to harassment in the 1000 block of Schulenburg Lane, Columbus, Texas. After further investigation, information was received and a report taken. Case information only.
WEDNESDAY, AUG. 13
At approximately 7:55 p.m. deputy Blaha conducted a traffic stop near Highway 98 near Glen Flora Road. After further investigation, Cameron Barron, 20, of Katie, was arrested for unlawfully carrying a weapon, possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3, and possession of marijuana, report taken.
THURSDAY, AUG. 14
At approximately 12:14 p.m. deputy Mican met with a complainant in reference to a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was reported stolen from the zero block of Hill Street in Garwood Texas. The vehicle was taken between August 13th and August 14. The vehicle is a white 2004 Ford F-250 bearing license plate KJJ 977. Case pending.
At approximately 10:34 p.m. deputy Frey was dispatched to a public service in reference to theft that had occurred at Rice High School. After further investigation all items are recovered. The victim did not want to press charges and the suspect was released upon turning items over. Case cleared by report.
At approximately 12:45 p.m. deputy met with a complainant at the sheriff’s Office in reference to a theft of miscellaneous car and tractor parts from property located at 4519 US Highway 90 West in Alleyton, Texas. Information was taken to conduct an investigation. A warrant was issued for the arrest of the suspect. The case is active pending the arrest of the suspect.
