The Columbus Ministerial Alliance gathered this past week to finalize preparations for the Annual Community Thanksgiving Service that will be held Nov. 23, at 6:00 p.m. at the Columbus Community Church, 1503 Bowie Street, Columbus.
This service is an opportunity for the community to come together and worship in an ecumenical spirit, giving thanks for all the blessings of our lives and our community. There will be 10 pastors from various churches in the area participating in the service, with Senior Pastor Jason Brown of CCC as hosting pastor welcoming everyone to the service, and Pastor John Jones of Three Cross Ministries delivering the message. The Columbus Community Church Worship Band will be providing music throughout the service for congregational singing and special music as well.
All Men Singers are invited to join in singing the well-known Thanksgiving Hymn, ‘We Gather Together’ as the Prelude to opening the service. Men should meet at 5:00 pm at the Columbus Community Church prior to the service at 6:00 pm to rehearse the song.
