Ladycats win three in a row

The Weimar Ladycats have improved to 4-0 to start the season after this recent three-game winning streak.

During this winning streak, the Ladycats played the Bellville Brahmanettes, the Goerge West Longhorns and the Rice Lady Raiders.

In their first game of three, the Ladycats matched up against the Bellville Brahmanettes and the Ladycats came away with a 46-31 win. Picking up this win was huge for the Ladycats because it gave them a good confidence boost.

Beating a quality basketball team is enough to do that, but Bellville is also a much bigger school compared to Weimar. Beating a bigger school goes a long way for these smaller schools too, and it is some confidence the Ladycats carried into their next game.

In game two against George West, the Ladycats scored a total of 59 points to win their third game of the season. On top of that, their offense played a really strong game, holding George West to only 36 points.

The Ladycats defense has been a very bright spot for them so far this season, and it shined during the game against George West. With the defense playing so well, they carried it over into their game against the Rice Lady Raiders.

In the game against the Lady Raiders, the Ladycats played their most complete game both offensively and defensively. The Ladycats’ offense scored 51 points in another strong showing of their talents.

Defensively, the Ladycats played their best game so far this season as they held the Lady Raiders to 23 points. This led to the Ladycats’ fourth win of the season as they start the 2025 season with a 4-0 record.

The Ladycats have big goals for themselves this season, and starting the year off 4-0 only helps them inch closer to those goals.

The Ladycats will be back in action on Tuesday, Dec. 9, when they will face Nordheim on their home court.
