The Columbus Lady Cardinals had four of its players elected to be on the Academic All-State team for the 2025 season.

These four ladies were major factors on the court for the Lady Cards this season as they all played a leadership role in some form this season.

In addition to being a leader on the team, these four ladies all led by example in the classroom. They found a way to maintain a 3.5 GPA while going undefeated in district to win the District Championship this year.

These four ladies that were chosen were Gracie Schobel, Thea Schobel, Caylie Neisner and Kyndal Kuhn. Fans of the team recognize these names instantly because they are so talented on a volleyball court.

A couple of these players even reached major milestones and etched themselves in the history books this season. All while hitting the books.

They are also great students as well as they somehow managed a 3.5 GPA while trying to make a push for the State Tournament. It’s honestly the best part about watching these athletes because not only are they athletically gifted, but they are also putting stock in academics.

Athletics is not forever but ensuring their education is taken care of, and they actually care about keeping their grades up shows how passionate and determined this team is. They don’t use Academics as an excuse and use it to fuel their fire that pushes them towards greatness.

All of these ladies are seniors this year too, so they will be leaving big shoes to fill for someone on the Lady Cards to step into.
