The Weimar Ladycats improved their record to 5-0 after they defeated the Lexington Lady Eagles.
The Ladycats played a very complete game as they picked up a 14-point victory over a very tough team.
The Ladycats won this game with a score of 5339, and it is also their third game in a row where they scored 50 or more points. The Ladycats offense has been firing on all cylinders lately and it’s pretty obvious as too why.
Head Coach Jenny Fricke said at the beginning of the season that this team does not care who gets the credit they just want to win. Was she ever right about that, because the Ladycats move the ball around very well to get the best look possible to score.
Their passing has been a big strong suit to their game as of late because they are spreading the court out and forcing teams to cover some ground to play defense. They wear defenses down this way which leads to such high offensive numbers for the Ladycats.
Then defensively they absolutely dominated Lexington as they shut them down in the second half. The Ladycats knew Lexington would push back in the second half of the game, but they were equal to the task and ended up coming away with their fifth win of the season.
They now set their sights on Nordheim, whom they will play on Tuesday, Dec. 9, at 6 p.m. in their last game before their district schedule starts.
