The SAS junior high S a i nt Amba s sador s wished everyone “Happy Hula-days” with their tropical themed float in last week’s lighted Chr istmas parade. A beach bal l Christmas tree, Hawaiian leis, and lots of colorful lights delighted spectators and the parade judges, earning the Ambassadors a “Best Overall Float” award!
As this year’s holiday service project, SAS is holding a food drive for the Food Bank of the Golden Crescent. Saint Ambassadors volunteer at Colorado County’s Golden Crescent food pantry throughout the year. Non- per ishable items or monetary donations may be dropped off at SAS through December 18th.
How’d ya like them apples! The Ambassadors’ caramel apple fundraiser was a huge success again with almost 800 Munchoes apples being sold! Top sellers were Braxton Blaschke (89), Maddie Wright (79) and Landry Venghaus (73). Thanks to all who purchased the yummy treats!
The SAS PTC hosted its first-ever Jingle Bell Bash this past Sunday. Kiddos in attendance enjoyed Christmas activities, a hot cocoa bar and of course, pictures with Santa. In turn, parents browsed some local vendor booths at the festive event, shopping for that perfect Christmas gift.
Big, big thanks to our most recent Watch D.O.G.S., Mr. Zach Venghaus and Mr. Michael Brown. Our volunteer Dads are such special additions on campus, jumping right in, making learning fun and safe for the SAS kids!
S a i nt s ba sketba l l teams hosted Trinity of Victoria last Thursday and plays St. Michael of Weimar today at 5pm. Tomorrow, Dec. 11, the A and B teams will travel to Giddings to play against Immanuel Lutheran and next Monday, Dec. 15, they will head to Hallettsville to take on Sacred Heart.
SAS students are currently sel l ing Cathol ic L ife Insurance raff le tickets. A $5.00 ticket buys a chance at winning $20,000.00 in prepaid Visa cards. One local winner will win a $1,000 prepaid Visa gift card. Tickets will be sold until Jan. 16, 2026, with the drawing on Feb. 13, 2026.
