The Columbus Christian Women’s Organization presented $47,500 in donations to over a dozen local organizations during its monthly meeting, Thursday, Dec. 4, at Glidden Baptist Church. Recipients: Colorado County Habitat for Humanity, $10,000; the Boys and Girls Club of Champion Valley, $10,000; Colorado County Youth and Family Services, $10,000; Columbus Community Hospital, $2,000; The Health and Behavioral Wellness Council of Greater Colorado Valley, $2,000; The Gabriel Project, $2,000; Columbus Food Pantry, $1,500; Columbus Education Foundation, $1,500; Glidden Baptist Church, $1,200; Child Protective Services, $1,000; Turtle Wing Foundation, $1,000; Loaves and Fishes Ministry, $1,000; Colorado County Transit, $500; Crime Stoppers, $500; Nesbitt Memorial Library, $500; Shop with a Cop, $500; and Colorado County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Santa Program, $500.
