The Rice Lady Raiders are starting their season with some tragic news as they lost their newly appointed head coach, Noel Lopez, to a fatal car accident earlier this year. It was a tough blow to start the year, and the team already feel the impact of his loss. But Frank Schmidt decided to finally deliver this young Lady Raiders team with some good news before they take the field. Before Coach Lopez’s untimely death, he promised he would get the team a new Turtlebox Bluetooth speaker. Schmidt then went out of his way to make good on Lopez’s promise by buying and donating a brand new Turtlebox Bluetooth speaker to the Lady Raiders softball team in a beautiful gesture. The girls were smiling from ear-to-ear because even though Lopez is gone, he will be with the team this season in the form of a Bluetooth speaker to keep these girls motivated and focused on winning games.
