In the latest edition of the Dave Campbell’s Texas High School Football magazine, they released their top 250 rising stars in high school football. They listed players entering their senior year across all schools and classifications in Texas. The Columbus Cardinals were fortunate enough to have two of their players listed. The first was Braylon Fisher and Cardinal fans, know exactly how good he is and how hungry he is to get back on the field for his senior season. His speed and ability to make contested catches will be a big boost for the Cards offense next year, and Dave Campbell’s recognizes that. Then there is Keyon Hemphill-Woods who plays both offensive and defensive lines. He is arguably the anchor of the line on both sides of the ball with his size and strength being imposing factors in his game. Like Fisher, he will be looking to help the Cardinals get back to the State Championship in 2026.
