The Texas Aggregates & Concrete Association (TACA) has named Clinton Harned as Vice President of Governmental Affairs. He comes to TACA with 10 years of political and governmental experience, most recently as Director of the Texas Senate Natural Resources Committee.
At TACA, Harned is responsible for the development and implementation of public, regulatory and local and state government relations strategies and initiatives concrete, cement and other associated industries in Texas.
“Clint’s experience with the Senate Natural Resources Committee
gives him a strong appreciation for both the legislative process and the importance of
meaningful engagement with communities and stakeholders,” said Andrew Pinkerton, President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of TACA. “He will be a valuable voice as we work with lawmakers, regulators and residents to support responsible growth and essential infrastructure development across the state.”
As Director of the Texas Senate Natural Resources Committee – which has jurisdiction over the state’s natural resources and environmental policy – Harned engaged with all stakeholders to develop policy, steer research and facilitate public participation on the state’s vast natural assets. Prior to that, he spent several years working in the Texas House of Representatives and conducting political campaigns. Harned has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Texas at Arlington.
