Rice Medical Center (RMC) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) Critical Access Hospital and designated Level IV Trauma Center. We provide inpatient, observation, and outpatient services, along with a swing bed program offering transitional care and rehabi l itation services, and 24-hour emergency care. Our hospital is equipped with advanced lab, imaging, and surgical equipment, ensuring our patients receive modern, reliable care close to home.

RMC Emergency Trauma Center is staffed with board- cert i fied emergency physicians, highly experienced nurses, and skilled support staff. This team provides expert, compassionate, and timely treatment for patients of all ages with urgent or life-threatening conditions. The Emergency Trauma Center at Rice Medical Center is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to meet the urgent and emergent medical needs of our community and surrounding areas.

Rice Medical Associates (RMA) operates two Provider- Based Rural Health Clinics (RHCs) dedicated to meeting the healthcare needs of families in Eagle Lake, East Bernard, and the surrounding communities. Clinics offer primary and preventive care for all ages. Services include annual wellness visits and routine checkups, chronic disease management (diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma, etc.), immunizations and screenings, women’s health services and family planning, behavioral health services (in-person and via telehealth), lab services and care coordination with Rice Medical Center, referrals to specialists needed and same-day appointments when available.
