ST. ANTHONY’S 7TH GRADE STUDIES TEXAS REVOLUTIONARY FLAGS

ST. ANTHONY’S 7TH GRADE STUDIES TEXAS REVOLUTIONARY FLAGS

Ms. Danette Cantu’s 7th grade students at St. Anthony’s Catholic School are researching the revolutionary flags of Texas as a special project. Considering that, Donna Pustejovsky, of the Dilue Rose Harris Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, loaned her collection of nine of these types of flags. These replica flags include the one that flew at the Battle of San Jacinto, the Dodson Flag, the Texas Navy flag, the Bloody Arm Flag from Goliad, and the famous Come and Take It Flag from Gonzales. Additionally, the chapter donated the book, “A Concise History of Early Texas: As Told by its 30 Historic Flags” to help with the project. Hopefully, these materials will inspire these 7th graders in their study. Courtesy photo
