Coaches Sarah Moore and Art Trujillo are leading the A & B teams during the inaugural season of indoor soccer at SAS.

Get your tickets now for the annual PTC Gala! This year’s event takes place on February 14th with “A Night in Tropical Paradise” promising a fabulous evening of cocktails, dinner and dancing. Live and silent auctions, a Gentlemen’s Draw and a Bubbles and Bling Draw are sure to entice some interest from gala-goers. Tickets can be purchased from any SAS PTC member or from the SAS office. Sponsorship opportunities are available as well. Contact the school office for more information.

Last Thursday, the 6th grade class took a field trip to the Brenham theater to watch the animated movie, “David”, a musical film featuring the character of David from the Book of Samuel in the Old Testament. SAS 4th graders will head to Katy’s Funtastik Science Lab tomorrow, and 8th graders will head west to Blinn in Schulenburg for Career Quest Day on Friday.

Saint basketball teams take on St. Philip in El Campo today starting at 5pm. Tomorrow, they welcome Sacred Heart teams for home games beginning at 5 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 24. The girls’ A team will participate in a tourney at Faith Academy in Bellville.

This Sunday, Jan. 25, students of St. Anthony School will celebrate the beginning of Catholic Schools Week at the 10 a.m. Mass. Following Mass, all are welcome to visit the SAS campus Open House. Saints will proudly welcome visitors to their classrooms to show off recent classwork and special projects. Catholic Schools Week teams have been meeting monthly to learn about different character traits, most recently discussing “faithfulness.”

Upcoming events: KC Free Throw Contest on Jan. 29 at 5 p.m. in the SAS Gym. All are welcome at Children’s Mass each Friday at 8:15 a.m.
