Beyond music, the station proudly brings listeners coverage of the Houston Astros and Columbus High School Footbal l, ensuring fans stay connected to the teams and traditions they love.
For decades, KULM has also served as a platform for community news, local stories, and educational opportunities for aspiring broadcasters, while continuously adapting to technological advances in the industry. In recognition of this milestone, KULM was honored with an official proclamation from Texas Governor Greg Abbott, which reads in part: “Although much has changed in the past fifty years, your dedication has not, and your longevity speaks volumes about your qual ity. You have become a staple of the region’s civic landscape, and your audience has come to rely upon KULM as the voice and keeper of the times.”
The proclamation further commends KULM for its lasting contributions to the community and its role as a reliable source for country music, sports, and local engagement, noting that the station represents the very best of the Lone Star State.
