The Liberty Tree plaque was approved by Columbus City Council during the Jan. 26 meeting held at city hall. The DAR, SAR, and the Columbus Chapter of the VVA will be recognizing a 250-year-old tree at the Vets Memorial Center. Columbus High School shop class will be providing fabrication of the stand for the plaque. This is a Columbus community project to celebrate the founding of The United States of America.
