The Columbus Chamber of Commerce proudly announced the recipients of its annual awards at their Annual Member Meeting, Thursday, Jan. 29, at the Live Oak Art Center. These awards recognize outstanding businesses, organizations, and individuals whose dedication, leadership, and service make a lasting impact on the Columbus community.
The Chamber’s annual awards celebrate excellence in business and community involvement, honoring those who go above and beyond to strengthen the local economy and enhance quality of life in Columbus.
2026 Recipients
• Business of the Year: AL&M Building Supply
• Non-Profit of the Year: Colorado County Habitat for Humanity
• Citizen of the Year: Barbara Peterman
•Volunteer of the Year: Ester Chandler Award recipients were selected based on their commitment to service, professional excellence, and positive influence within the community. Each honoree has demonstrated a strong dedication to advancing Columbus through leadership, innovation, and community spirit.
