KC Free Throw contest crowns champions

The Victoria Diocese KC Free Throw Contest was held on Sunday, Feb. 15 at Sacred Heart School Gym in Hallettsville.

Winners from District 190 (Weimar, Columbus, Schulenburg) included:

• Cora Jones, third place, 9-year-old girls.

• Simon Seydler, first place, 9-year-old boys.

• Kinsley Martella, first place, 10-yearold girls.

• Mason Bittner, second place, 10-yearold boys.

• Brigham Osburn, first place, 11-yearold boys.

• Hannah Bartos, second place, 12-year-old girls.

• Hayes Kloesel, first place, 12-yearold boys.

• Brynn Pilat, first place, 13-year-old girls.

• Josiah Okeke, third place, 14-yearold boys.

The first place winners advance to the Texas State Free Throw Contest on Saturday, March 7 at Ed White Middle School, 7800 Mid Crown, San Antonio, Texas 78218.

Gym will open at 7 a.m. with registration and warmup from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Competition will follow after the opening prayer.
