Twelve Saint basketball players received special end of season awards.

Today is Ash Wednesday, and SAS students will attend Mass this morning to receive ashes on their forehead, and begin their Lenten journey of prayer, fasting and almsgiving.

SAS parent and EMT Jeremy Fuentes graciously gave the SAS 7th and 8th graders a basic CPR lesson during their PE class last Wednesday. We appreciate our SAS volunteers that share their knowledge and talents with our students.

The Ignatius Book Fair is set to begin this weekend in the SAS Library. Ignatius Book Fairs offer books that shape character and deepen faith while aligning with Christian values. In addition to school hours, the Book Fair will be open in the SAS library this Saturday, 2/21 after Mass from 6:45pm to 7:30pm, and this Sunday, Feb. 22 from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday Feb. 23, Wednesday, Feb. 25, and Thursday, Feb. 26 will have open hours after school until 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, the store will be open until 5:30 p.m.

With the conclusion of basketball season, special awards were presented to several SAS players. Earning MVP and Teammate of the Year: Taitlyn Beauchamp – Girls, Landry Venghaus – Boys B team. MVP: Hayes Kridel – Boys C team, Wyatt Pool – Boys A team. Fighting Heart: Anslee Busselman – Girls, Clark Smith – Boys C team, John Neal – Boys B team, Mitchell Smith – Boys A team. Most Improved: Carley Aaron – Girls, Hudson Henneke – Boys C team, Truman Harrell – Boys B team, Kaden Glueck – Boys A team.

Congratulations also go out to Saints Khloe Warschak and Brynn Pilat for advancing to the KC Free Throw 3rd round/ Diocesan competition. And congrats to the SAS Athletes of the month for January: Wyatt Pool, Jase Brownlow and Anslee Busselman!

Registration for the 2026-2027 school year is set to open to the public on March 16th. A “Discover SAS” Open House is geared to Early Childhood students in grades 3K-Kindergarten and will be held on March 19 at 9 a.m. Call the school office if you are interested in attending the open house and discovering what SAS is all about.

Upcoming events: Class Group Pictures on Feb. 26. All are welcome at Children’s Mass each Friday at 8:15 a.m.
