COLORADO COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT

On Monday, Oct. 20, 2025, at approximately 1:42 p.m., Deputy Blair was dispatched to make public service with a complainant in reference to a possible stolen vehicle. The case was cleared and documented for information only.

On Monday, Oct. 20, 2025, at approximately 11:02 p.m., Deputy Byars was dispatched to the 1300 block of Old Altair Road in Eagle Lake, Texas, in reference to a mental subject. After speaking with the complainant, sufficient information was gathered on scene to generate a report. The case was cleared, information only.

On Monday, Oct. 20, 2025, Jail Lieutenant Smith was notified by jail staff that an inmate at the Colorado County Jail had violated a protection order issued by a magistrate. Following further investigation, it was determined that a warrant would be sought for violation of certain court orders or conditions of bond in a family violence, sexual assault or abuse, indecent assault, stalking, or trafficking case, a third-degree felony. The case remained open pending service of the warrant.

On Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2025, Deputy Mican was contacted by a citizen in reference to a possible scam. The citizen reported receiving a certified letter regarding a mechanic’s lien being placed on their vehicle for failure to pay for work done. Information was taken, and the incident remained under investigation. The case remained pending.

On Friday, Oct. 17, 2025, at approximately 12:45 p.m., Deputy Weido spoke with a complainant who resides on Brunes Mill Road in Columbus, Texas, in reference to a theft. Information was later received from the complainant on October 21, 2025, to conduct an investigation. The case remained active.

On Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2025, at approximately 1:31 p.m., Deputy Blair, along with the Austin County Sheriff’s Office Task Force, was patrolling the 100 block of Townsend Drive in Weimar, Texas, when a traffic stop was initiated for a traffic violation. After further investigation, Treston Ellison was arrested for an outstanding warrant. The case was cleared by warrant arrest.

On Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2025, at approximately 11:31 p.m., Deputy Byars responded to the 1000 block of Coy Road in Weimar, Texas, in reference to an individual with an outstanding warrant. Upon further investigation, Renner, Colby Troy, age 46, was arrested for contempt of court for failure to pay child support. The case was cleared by arrest.

On Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2025, at approximately 9:58 p.m., Deputy Smith was dispatched to the 6700 block of U.S. Highway 90 in Sealy, Texas, in reference to warrant service. After further investigation, it was determined the subject had an active warrant through Colorado County. Pamela, age 29, of Eagle Lake, Texas, was taken into custody without further incident.

On Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025, at approximately 12:56 a.m., Deputy Smith was dispatched to Flower Hill Road in reference to an unwanted subject. After further investigation, Frederick Thomas, age 30, of Columbus, Texas, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

On Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025, at approximately 1:31 p.m., Deputy Lopez was dispatched to the jail in reference to an inmate in crisis. The inmate was deemed a danger to themselves and was transported to a psychiatric facility for treatment. A detainer was placed on the inmate for extradition back to Colorado County Jail once deemed stable by the psychiatric facility.

On Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025, at approximately 3:58 p.m., Deputy Lopez conducted a crisis evaluation on an inmate at the jail who had made a suicidal outcry. The inmate was evaluated by Texana and was provided with a safety plan.

On Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025, at approximately 7:34 p.m., Deputy Johnson was dispatched to the 4400 block of State Highway 71 in Columbus, Texas, in reference to a property damage call. After further investigation, a report was taken.

On Friday, Oct. 24, 2025, at approximately 1:04 p.m., Deputy Cantu conducted a traffic stop on a 2022 Dodge Ram on U.S. Highway 90 near the intersection of County Road 218. The traffic stop resulted in the location of a missing person. A report was generated for information purposes.

On Friday, Oct. 24, 2025, Deputy Mican was contacted by a citizen in reference to criminal trespass warnings to be issued for three locations in the 1000 block of Spring Time Lane in Weimar, Texas. The requested criminal trespass warnings were issued. The case was closed.

On Friday, Oct. 24, 2025, at approximately 2:41 p.m., Deputy Blair was dispatched to 4499 Highway 90, Unit E-1, in Alleyton, Texas, in reference to unwanted subjects on the property. After investigation, two criminal trespass warnings were issued. The case was cleared.

On Friday, Oct. 24, 2025, at approximately 9:40 p.m., Deputy Pavlicek attempted to stop a vehicle on County Road 240 in Weimar, Texas. The vehicle failed to stop and attempted to evade law enforcement before eventually coming to a stop. The driver, identified as Reynaldo Garcia, age 26, of Houston, Texas, was arrested for evading arrest or detention with a motor vehicle, a thirddegree felony. The case was cleared by adult arrest.

On Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, at approximately 1:08 a.m., Deputy Byars was dispatched to a reckless driver on Interstate 10 westbound near mile marker 695. Upon further investigation, Chris Roman, age 50, was arrested for driving while intoxicated. The case was cleared by arrest.

On Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, at approximately 6:35 p.m., Deputy Melendez took a report of a violation of a protective order in the 1600 block of Frelsburg Road. The victim provided evidence showing a known subject intentionally violated the order of protection. Koldin Henneke, age 33, was later arrested on October 26, 2025, after a warrant was issued. The case was closed.

On Monday, Oct. 27, 2025, at approximately 8:50 a.m., Deputy Lopez was dispatched to a welfare concern in the city of Weimar, Texas. A juvenile was experiencing a mental health crisis. An evaluation was completed, and the juvenile was released under a safety plan by Texana.

On Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025, at approximately 7:39 a.m., Deputy Lopez conducted a traffic stop on a 2006 four-door BMW in Glidden, Texas, for defective equipment. During the stop, it was discovered the driver had a felony warrant for tampering or fabricating physical evidence. Samuel Daniel Jr., age 30, of Fayette County, was arrested.

On Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025, at approximately 8:26 a.m., Deputy Lopez was dispatched to Columbus Community Hospital in reference to a mental health transport. The patient was transported to a psychiatric hospital for treatment.

On Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025, at approximately 7:19 p.m., Deputy Villarreal was dispatched to the 3500 block of U.S. Highway 90 in Glidden, Texas, in reference to an assault. After meeting with the complainant and obtaining information, an investigation was conducted. The case was closed by adult arrest.

On Friday, Oct. 31, 2025, at approximately 9:56 a.m., Deputy Moulder was dispatched to the lobby of the Colorado County Sheriff’s Office, located at 2215 Walnut Street in Columbus, Texas, in reference to information regarding an assault. An information report was completed.

On Friday, Oct. 31, 2025, at approximately 4:17 p.m., Deputy Lopez was dispatched to a mental health crisis involving a juvenile. The juvenile was evaluated by Texana and released under a safety plan.
