Consider a Catholic education at SAS! Registration for the 2026-2027 school year is set to open to the public on March 16. The “Discover SAS” Open House, geared to Early Childhood students in grades 3K-Kindergarten, will be held on March 19 at 9 a.m. Please call the school office if you are interested in attending the open house to discover what SAS is all about.

SAS recently welcomed former students (and current FFA members) to campus last week. Micah Ehlert, Mary Fitzgerald and Jase Rau spent time reading to several classes in celebration of FFA week. One of the favorite stories read was How Did That Get In My Lunchbox? The Story of Food by Chris Butterworth.

The Saint Track team did well at their first meet of the season last week in Halletsville. 5th graders earning ribbons: John Fitzgerald - 2nd long jump, 4th in 400m, 4th in relay. Jase Foster – 3rd shotput, 4th in relay. Olivia Lowe – 2nd high jump. Michael Brown 4th relay. Beau Neal – 4th relay. 6th grade: Hayes Kridel – 4th long jump, 5th in 100m, Ashlyn Bennett – 2nd long jump, 2nd in relay, 5th in 200m. Carley Aaron – 2nd in relay, 4th in 800m. Maddie Wright – 2nd in relay. Kate Crosby – 2nd in relay. 7th grade: Cormac Barten – 4th long jump. 8th grade: Abigail Wolters – 2nd in relay, 4th high jump, 4th in 100m. Abby Fuller – 2nd in relay, 5th high jump, 5th in shotput. Isabella Lowe – 2nd in relay, 4th long jump. Wyatt Pool – 4th discus, 5th shotput. Kaden Glueck – 5th in 800m. Braxton Blaschke – 6th discus. Keaton Watkins – 6th discus, Charley McBride – 2nd relay. Wyatt Pool and Keaton Watkins set new SAS records with their discus throws!

Thank you to all who shopped the recent SAS Book Fair. Over $4200 was raised during the weeklong sale, and all profits will go toward the purchase of new books and supplies for the SAS library.

Students competed in the PSIA (Private Schools Interscholastic Association) District 8A Meet last Friday, Feb. 27 in Giddings. Results to come in next week’s article.

Upcoming events: Spring Break March 9-13. All are welcome at Children’s Mass each Friday at 8:15am.
