COLORADO COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT

On Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, at approximately 8:33 p.m., Deputy Frey was dispatched to the 1000 block of Patos Lane in Eagle Lake, Texas, in reference to a dog bite. Upon further investigation, it was determined the dog was currently on vaccinations, and no further action was required. The case was closed by report.

On Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025, at approximately 1:28 a.m., Deputy Frey was dispatched to the 1000 block of West Ash Street in Eagle Lake, Texas, in reference to shots fired. Upon further investigation, evidence was collected and a case report was generated. The case was documented for information only and later closed due to insufficient evidence.

On Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025, at approximately 6:46 p.m., Deputy Smith responded in Eagle Lake, Texas. A report was generated.

On Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025, at approximately 7:00 p.m., Deputy Smith was dispatched to Rice Medical Center in reference to a dog bite that occurred at 1052 Beard Road in Eagle Lake, Texas.

On Monday, Nov. 3, 2025, at approximately 12:27 a.m., Officer Blaha was dispatched in Columbus, Texas. A report was generated.

On Monday, Nov. 3, 2025, at approximately 9:38 a.m., Deputy Thomas was dispatched to Beason’s Park, located at 3614 U.S. Highway 90 in Columbus, Texas, in reference to found property.

On Monday, Nov. 3, 2025, deputies received information that a registered sex offender had violated sex offender registration requirements by failing to report a change of address in the 4400 block of State Highway 71 in Columbus, Texas. A warrant was issued, and Richard Rene Acevedo, age 40, of Columbus, Texas, was arrested on November 5, 2025, and transported to the Colorado County Detention Center. The case was cleared by arrest.

On Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025, at approximately 10:47 a.m., Deputy Blair was dispatched to the Colorado County Sheriff’s Office lobby at 2215 Walnut Street in reference to a fraud complaint. The case was cleared for information only.

On Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025, at approximately 1:27 p.m., Deputy Blair was dispatched to the 1082 Flower Hill Road address in Columbus, Texas, in reference to a welfare concern. The case was cleared for information only.

On Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025, at approximately 6:54 p.m., deputies conducted a warrant service in the 1200 block of FM 109 in New Ulm, Texas. After further investigation, Jacqueline Nichole Rohrick, age 39, of New Ulm, Texas, was arrested on a warrant issued out of Washington County. The case was closed by adult arrest.

On Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025, at approximately 9:36 a.m., Deputy Lopez was dispatched to the Sheriff’s Office lobby in reference to a stolen vehicle. It was later determined the complainant was experiencing a mental health crisis. The individual was evaluated by Texana and transported to a psychiatric facility for treatment. It was determined the vehicle was not stolen.

On Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025, at approximately 9:51 a.m., Capt. Alley met with a complainant in the Sheriff’s Office lobby regarding a stolen utility trailer. Information was gathered, and the trailer was entered into TCIC as stolen.

On Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, at approximately 8:11 a.m., Deputy Blair responded to the 1051 Mansfield Street address in Garwood, Texas, in reference to an animal attack. The case remains open.

On Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, at approximately 11:10 a.m., CCSO deputies responded to a mental health disturbance at the Colorado County Courthouse. The subject was evaluated by Texana and later transported to a psychiatric facility for treatment. The subject was also issued a criminal trespass warning prohibiting return to the courthouse.

On Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, at approximately 7:48 p.m., Deputy Villarreal conducted a traffic stop in the 4100 block of Highway 90A in Altair, Texas. After further investigation, Alexander Goel, age 19, of Katy, Texas, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. The case was cleared by arrest.

On Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025, at approximately 1:42 a.m., Deputy Chapa was dispatched to Interstate 10 near mile markers 707– 708 in Cat Spring, Texas, in reference to a motor vehicle accident. An accident report was generated. The case was cleared for information only.

On Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025, at approximately 4:04 a.m., Deputy Thomas was dispatched to County Road 115 in Nada, Texas, in reference to a suspicious vehicle parked in the roadway.

On Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025, at approximately 6:02 p.m., Deputy Chapa was dispatched to Interstate 10 near mile marker 710 in Bernardo, Texas, in reference to a motor vehicle accident. An accident report was generated. The case was cleared for information only.

On Monday, Nov. 10, 2025, at approximately 8:53 a.m., Deputy Navarro was dispatched to the 1559 County Road 209 address in Weimar, Texas, in reference to property damage to a mailbox. A report was generated for information purposes only.

On Monday, Nov. 10, 2025, Deputy Blaha spoke with a complainant via public service in reference to an intimidating incident. After further investigation, a report was taken.

On Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025, at approximately 11:57 a.m., Deputy Cantu was dispatched to the 1000 block of Lee Road in Columbus, Texas, in reference to a theft. Deputy Cantu later responded to 1014 Lee Road regarding a CPR-in-progress call, which was ultimately unsuccessful and resulted in a death investigation. The case remains active.

On Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025, at approximately 4:49 p.m., Lieutenant Smith was notified of an incident involving an inmate currently incarcerated at the Colorado County Jail. After further investigation, it was determined that a report would be completed for informational purposes only. The case was cleared by report.

On Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025, at approximately 6:56 a.m., Deputy Blair was dispatched to the 1062 Warschack Schuette Road address in New Ulm, Colorado County, Texas, in reference to an inquest. The case was cleared for information only.

On Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025, at approximately 9:27 a.m., Deputy Blair was dispatched to the 2212 FM 949 address in Alleyton, Colorado County, Texas, in reference to an information complaint. The case was cleared for information only.

On Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025, at approximately 1:47 p.m., Deputy Lopez conducted a welfare check on an elderly resident in Cat Spring, Texas. It was determined the residence was unsanitary and lacked proper utilities. Adult Protective Services had been previously involved due to self-neglect. A new case was generated to provide additional resources through APS.

On Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025, at approximately 2:53 p.m., Deputies Gorman and Pavlicek initiated a traffic stop on CR 105 near the South Feeder in Glidden, Texas, for a traffic violation. After further investigation, Polasek, age 35, of Weimar, Texas, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence. Mitchell, age 39, of Columbus, Texas, was also arrested for possession of a controlled substance, unlawful carrying of a weapon, and tampering with physical evidence. The case was cleared by adult arrest.

On Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, at approximately 11:28 a.m., Deputy Cantu was dispatched to the 1700 block of Felsburg Road in Alleyton, Colorado County, Texas, in reference to a found firearm. The firearm was later confirmed to have been stolen from the Houston Police Department and was collected as evidence.

On Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, at approximately 10:34 a.m., Deputy Navarro was dispatched to the 1010 Pine Bluff Lane address in Alleyton, Colorado County, Texas, in reference to a wanted person. After further investigation, Cadenas, age 21, of Alleyton, Texas, was taken into custody on a local felony warrant. The case was cleared by adult arrest.

On Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025, at approximately 11:51 p.m., Deputy Blaha was dispatched to the 500 block of Boulder Street in Garwood, Texas, in reference to an assault. After further investigation, Gonzales, age 28, of Garwood, Texas, was arrested for assault causing bodily injury.

On Sunday, Nov. 16, 2025, at approximately 6:40 a.m., Deputy Navarro was dispatched to Highway 71 South near Hefley Hill in reference to a reckless driver. After further investigation, On Monday, Nov. 17, 2025, at approximately 9:16 a.m., Deputy Lopez conducted a welfare check in Eagle Lake, Texas, on an individual experiencing a mental health crisis. It was determined the individual posed a danger to themselves and was transported to a psychiatric facility for treatment.
