Ryan Carter was on the mound for the Cards and shared the responsibilities with Tribe. They combined to pitch all five innings, giving up five runs on four hits while walking three baters and striking out seven of them.

The Cards then looked ahead to their next game against New Waverly where they looked to pick up back-to-back wins.

Vs. New Waverly, 4-3, L In their second game the Cards unfortunately were handed a loss in a very close game against New Waverly. To start the game the Cards jumped out to a 2-0 lead against New Waverly as their offense continued to find different ways to score.

New Waverly scored once in the top of the second inning to cut the Cards lead in half and then the game went scoreless until the top of the fifth inning. New Waverly scored three runs in the top of the fifth inning to take a 4-2 lead into the bottom of the fifth inning.

The Cards scored only once more in this game to arrive at the final score of 4-3 to pick up a loss against New Waverly. Offensively, the Cards were led by Wyatt Tipton who hit a double and by Tribe who hit a triple.

Then Tipton along with Ty Wiggs and Parker Meyer were on the mound for the Cards, and they combined to pitch all five innings. They gave up four runs on two hits while walking six batters and striking out six of them.

The Cards now look ahead to their next game on Friday, March 13, when they will take on the Palacios Sharks at 1:30 p.m. looking to get back in the win column.
