The Weimar Wildcats baseball team has taken the field and has played six games so far this season.

Unfortunately for the Wildcats, they are still searching for their first win of the season.

The Wildcats have lost to Giddings, A&M Consolidated, Columbus, Burton, Lexington and Anderson- Shiro so far this season, but there is not really a cause for concern just yet. The Wildcats are still in the early part of their season and still have a few tournaments to play as they try to iron out the kinks in their game.

The Wildcats also have a fairly young roster, so it may take a little bit of time to get going this season. These games, despite being losses, are filled with lessons for those young players that the Wildcats can start applying to the rest of their games in their schedule.

Another positive to take away from this 0-6 start is that the Wildcats have not been shut out this season. Offensively they seemingly have figured out a way to be successful, and now they shift their focus to the defensive side of the ball as they begin the hunt for their first win.

The Wildcats will be back on the field on Tuesday, March 10, when they go on the road to take on Fayetteville at 5 p.m.
