The Columbus Cardinals boys golf team is also seeing some success alongside of the girls team this season.
The Cards competed in the Palacios Golf Tournament last week and came away with a firstplace finish as a team.
The team of Parker Meyer, Teddy Barten, Caswell Hill and Colby Mathis shot a total of 371 at the Palacios Golf Tournament. This allowed them to capture gold as a team, but there were a few individuals that made their mark.
The Cards took the top three spots with their individual scores, which helped boost them to a gold medal as a team. Taking home a gold medal for his individual performance was Teddy Barten. Barten led his team shooting an 86 which the average golfer will tell you that is a great score for the young man. Coming in second place was Caswell Hill, and he was only three strokes behind Barten.
Hill finished his round with 89 strokes to come back home with a silver medal for his individual score. Then in third place was Parker Meyer who also shot an 89 at the Palacios Golf Tournament. Meyer brings home a bronze medal as well as a gold medal for the team win to cap off the Cards dominate performance at the Palacios Golf Tournament.
