The Columbus Lady Cardinals golf team has been red-hot this season, winning every single tournament.

They won the Gonzales, La Grange, Weimar and even the Columbus tournament, and in each of those tournaments they have brought home medals for individual performances.

They brought home at least one gold and one silver medal for individual performances this season at every tournament. But they show no signs of slowing down as they inch closer to the District tournament.

To start the season, the Lady Cards competed in the Gonzales tournament and won first place as a team. Katherine Burnett, Mady Garcia, Madison McRee, McKinley Wright and Thea Schobel combined their efforts to take home the gold.

On top of that Schobel shot an 88 which awarded her a gold medal for her individual performance. Right behind her in second place was her teammate, McRee, who finished one stroke behind Schobel with 89.

In their next tournament Schobel and McRee came in first and second place again with 83 and 84 strokes respectively. They helped lead the Lady Cards to another tournament win and they were not the only Lady Cards to finish in the top five.

Mady Garcia came in fourth place shooting a 92 and also playing a huge role in securing the Lady Cards tournament victory.

Their next stop was just down the road in Weimar, and the Lady Cards were missing Schobel for this one. Despite missing her, the Lady Cards took the top three spots in individual performances.

McRee came in first place shooting an 88, Garcia came in second place shooting a 92 and then Burnett came in third place shooting a 97. These performances helped the Lady Cards capture their third tournament championship in a row, and next was their home tournament in Columbus.

At their home tournament, the Lady Cards looked very comfortable. They are very familiar with the course and know how to navigate it well, which again led to another tournament victory.

The Lady Cards had Schobel back, but it was McRee who stole the show shooting an 80 during the Columbus tournament. McRee took home first place as an individual with Schobel being close behind her shooting an 87 to take home second place.

Then finally, Burnett came in third place shooting a 93 to help lead the Lady Cards to their fourth tournament victory in a row.

The Lady Cards now set their sights on the Bellville Tournament, which will be held on Wednesday, March 18.
