On Friday, March 6, Mrs. Barten’s and Mrs. Bohuslav’s 3rd grade class held a Lemonade fundraiser during lunchtime. Students served yummy concoctions like Lavender Lemonade, Cucumber Lemonade with Tajin, and Lemonade Slush. Proceeds earned will go to the Rice Bowl Lenten collection.
Today, Mrs. Busselman’s 5th grade class would attend the “If I Had A Hammer” program at Blinn College in Schulenburg. Next Tuesday, March 24, they will visit the Bush Presidential Library in College Station.
The SAS PTC is hosting a Crawfish & Shrimp Boil drive-through meal on Sunday, April 12th from 11 a.m. -1:30 p.m. A crawfish plate will consist of 3 lbs. of Southern Sip & More Crawdaddy’s crawfish, with potato and corn. A shrimp plate will consist of 1 lb. boiled shrimp, pasta, potato, corn and sausage. Each plate is $35 and tickets can be purchased from any SAS PTC family or in the school office.

SAS 7th grade winners in the DRT’s Essay contest on “Flags of the Texas Revolution” were (L to R) Indy Espinosa - 2nd place, Emma Fitzgerald - 1st place, and Kathryn Newman - 3rd place.
