Colorado County Soil and Water Conservation District will host a local work group meeting March 26 at 8 a.m. at the Natural Resources Conservation Service, 2209 Walnut St., Columbus.
The Colorado County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) and USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) are seeking input from the local work group on how to best serve local agricultural producers through Farm Bill conservation programs and technical assistance.
This meeting is an opportunity to bring together representatives from the community such as farmers, ranchers, private foresters, federal, state, and local government representatives, and others together to discuss natural resource priorities and recommend criteria for conservation activities and programs.
