County asks residents to use less water

DROUGHT WARNING

On March 18, the Colorado County Groundwater Conservation District Board of Directors approved the issuance of a drought warning due to persistent drought conditions. A drought warning is a request for water users to voluntarily reduce consumption. Colorado County is currently experiencing extreme drought (D3) in the northern and western portions of the county. Severe drought (D2) conditions persist in the southern and eastern portions of the county. For more information, please contact the CCGCD office at 979-732-9300 or visit us online at ccgcd.net.
