The Weimar Ladycats picked up their seventh win of the year after blowing out Bloomington last week.
The Ladycats needed only three innings to get the job done against Bloomington and now move to a 7-10-1 record.
The Ladycats came out strong against Bloomington and quickly secured three outs to go on offense in the bottom of the first inning. The Ladycats then started their offensive onslaught.
Taitlyn Mican was first up for the Ladycats, and she hit a homerun to put her team up 1-0. Alazay Moreno then hit a single followed by a single from Tyrianna Rhodes to bring Moreno home and make the score 2-0.
Two more singles from Evani Nino and Paityn Hudec brought home two more runs to make the score 4-0. Then Emma Rerich hit a double to bring three runs home and give the Ladycats a very comfortable 7-0 lead.
Shortly after Faith Cantwell hit a triple to extend the Ladycats lead yet again to 12-0. Then after a couple of RBI singles, Cantwell hit a double to bring the score to 16-0.
The 17th run was scored after Moreno hit a single that drove home the final run of the inning. Leading 17-0, the Ladycats were firmly in the driver’s seat in this game and in the bottom of the second inning.

Doubles from Zariah Sims and Mican brought in three total runs and pushed the score to 21-0. Mican was a true star in this game as she recorded two doubles and a home run while racking up five RBIs in the win over Bloomington.
In the circle the duties were split between Moreno and Cantwell, and they combined to give up only one hit while striking out six batters in only three innings.
The Ladycats will be back in action on Tuesday, March 31, when they travel to take on the Schulenburg Lady Horns at 6 p.m.
