The Rice Consolidated Raiders were handed their eighth loss of the year after they were defeated by the Hallettsville Brahmas. This brings the Raiders losing streak to five games, so let’s dive in and take a look at what happened in this game.
The game started with Hallettsville jumping out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning. The Raiders quickly responded in the bottom of the first inning to cut the Brahmas lead down to 2-1.

Unfortunately, that would be the only run the Raiders would score in this game as the Brahmas offense took over. They scored two runs in the third inning to extend their lead to 4-1 and then scored one run in the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh inning to arrive at the final score of 8-1.
This has been a tough stretch for the Raiders as they are entering their district schedule and need these wins. They will look to get back on track soon and jump back into the win column and make a push for a playoff spot.
The Raiders will be back in action on Tuesday, March 31, when they will go on the road to take on Industrial looking for their first district win of the season.
