The Weimar Ladycats participated in the District Tournament which was held on their home golf course in Weimar.
The Ladycats put together a strong effort in the District Tournament and came away with silver medals as a team.
They came in second shooting a total of 476 shots at the District Tournament. They finished 2t6 strokes behind first place Shiner, who shot a 450.
The Ladycats played on their home course, but they still faced a few challenges along the way that boosted their score up and put them in second place. Despite this, the Ladycats still had a great round, so let’s look at what happened.
Leading the way was Kendall Jahn and Rylee Noska who each shot a 115 to finish in 4th and 5th place as individuals. They were each just two strokes away from coming in third place as an individual but regardless these ladies scores helped the team capture a silver medal.
Next was Chloe Brandt who shot a 122 she a really strong front nine shooting a 58 but then the back nine was a little but tougher as she finished with a 64. Next was Harley Thornhill who was the opposite of Brandt.
Thornhill shot a 63 on the front nine but then came storming back on the back nine to shoot a 61 and shave two strokes off her score to arrive at a 124 final stroke total. Then last but certainly not least was Aubree Breska, Breska finished with a 136-stroke total and like Thornhill, she took two strokes off her game on the back nine. She shot a 69 on the front and then a 67 on the back nine to arrive at 136 stroke total and keep her team in the running for second place in the district.
The Ladycats now look ahead to their next round, which will be the Regional Round, and they will look to improve their scores even more.
