Courtesy photo Since 1979, the Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest has promoted patriotism while recognizing young artists in grades 9-12. This contest is open to students enrolled in public, private, parochial, or home school programs. The local VFW Auxiliary Post 5875 is proud to sponsor and recognize these young artists and award the 1st place winner $25, 2nd place $15 and 3rd place $10. Erica Garcia’s entry will go to compete at the state level.
