Congratulations to the following SAS students for receiving the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Communion this past weekend: Elliott Arnim, Haidyn Busselman, Mason Chatelain, Andrew Fitzgerald, Danica Fuentes, Camryn Glueck, Charlotte Hoelscher, Maya Katz, Sage Loessin, Andrew Neal, Preston Pilat, Waylon Pool and Arturo Trujillo.

The Diocese of Victoria Office of Catholic Schools recently recognized St. Anthony School parent Tammy Fuller as a 2026 Mother Elizabeth Ann Seton Award winner. The award celebrates individuals who emulate what it means to serve, giving selflessly of their time and talents while supporting Catholic education. Mrs. Fuller’s dedication as a parent volunteer over the last 15 years has truly been a blessing to the SAS family.

Yesterday, the SAS 8th graders spent the day in Mentz at St. Roch for their end-of-year retreat. This is an annual day of reflection and prayer…an opportunity to come together in fellowship one last time in a faithfilled and fun way. Students ended the day being honored at the Junior High Academic & Sports Banquet.

This coming Sunday is Mother’s Day, and just as we celebrate our own mothers, Catholics honor Mary as the mother of Jesus during the entire month of May. Yesterday, SAS students held a May Crowning prayer service, placing fresh flowers around the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary along with a beautiful floral crown placed on her head, honoring her as the Queen of Heaven.

Saints’ Soccer will host St. Rose of Schulenburg this evening at 5:30 p.m. on the Cardinal Field, and then Saturday, May 9 they will travel to Our Lady of Victory in Victoria for a tournament. They will return to Victoria on May 12 for regular games vs. OLV at home beginning at 5pm.

SAS golfers earning special awards this inaugural season are Colson Glueck (Top Male Golfer), Raelynn Schulte (Top Female Golfer), Mitchell Smith (Sportsmanship Award), and Carson Crosby (Fighting Heart Award).
