The Columbus Lady Cardinals are moving on in the Class 3A playoffs after defeating Bishop 5-0 last Thursday, May 9.

Columbus will advance to take on Goliad Thursday in the first of a bestof- three game series.

Peyton Zrodg was masterful in the circle as she tossed a complete game while allowing eight hits while striking out three.

Peyton Zrodg also was strong at the plate going two-for-three with two RBIs. Other Lady Cards bringing in runs include Kaylea Foster and Kaylea McCarthy.

Columbus will now face a Goliad team that advanced by defeating London 8-6 and now posts a 28-3-1 record.
