On Friday, May 15, two Weimar Ladycats traveled to the University of Texas in Austin to compete in the UIL state track meet. Addisyn Olive competed in the 400m race while Locklyn Tolbert competed in the high jump event. In the 400m race Olive finished in seventh place with a time of 1:00.43. Then Tolbert finished in third place clearing a height of five feet and three inches which was three inches away from winning a state championship. This participation in the state meet capped off a great year for the Ladycats and gave them motivation to come back stronger next season.
