Good of the Order:
Jeanette Koenig spoke to the group about innovative psychedelic assistant therapy for veterans suffering from PTSD. Trials have indicated high success rates for conditions that have failed to respond to traditional medications, and they have shown to have lasting effects. More than four times as many post-9/11 US service members and veterans have died by suicide (30,000+) as were killed in combat operations (7,057) since September 11, 2001. President Trump signed an executive order in April of this year directing federal agencies to accelerate research, review, and access to psychedelic drugs to treat mental health conditions. The FDA has indicated that decisions on fast-tracked drugs could occur as early as summer 2026.
