Weimar shakes up coaching staff

Entering the offseason phase of the year, teams are beginning to shake up their coaching staff ahead of the 2026-27 season. The Wildcats have already made two significant coaching changes as they now have a new volleyball coach and a new baseball coach.

Sabrina Ferguson will be the new head coach volleyball coach for the Ladycats this upcoming season. Ferguson will be joining the Ladycats after a stint at Cedar Creek High School, and she will be looking to keep the Ladycats in the mix for the playoffs like they have been for the past few years. Then there is Jacob Hooker, who will be stepping into the head baseball coach role for the Weimar Wildcats next season. Hooker coached at Alief ISD at Elsik High School and now joins the Wildcats as he will be trying to get this team over the hump and make a deep push into the playoffs next season.
